Farewell. 11/04/2011
 
This is Angie, owner of TDF Source. I just wanted to make a post about the current state of TDF Source. I have decided to leave the site. I just don't have time or motivation to put the work into the site that is needed to keep it where it used to be. I have loved working on the site since 2009 and making so many new friends through the website, but it's time to say goodbye. I'll miss it, but it's sort of bittersweet.

However, if there is someone who would like to take my place as the owner of TDF Source and run it themselves, feel free to contact me. I just want you to know how much work it is though. Expect to work on the site about 30 minutes a day (looking for updates, checking Twitter/Facebook). It is not a small task. There's a lot of things that go into running a website. You have to be motivated to take time to what's needed. You can e-mail me here if you want to talk about it or whatever. I really want a TDF fan to be able to run this website and keep it up. I don't want to delete it, but if it comes to that, I will. I just think it'd be great if it could continue on.

To our TDF family:
Though we never like saying goodbye, Eric has decided to leave the band to pursue a career on the industry side of music. We're incredibly happy for him and fully support his decision. With that said, we're thrilled to announce that our live guitarist, Wes Dimond (Follow him on twitter @WesDimond), has become an official member of The Downtown Fiction and hope everyone will give him a warm welcome! As for our upcoming tour with the Plain White T's, our good friend Anthony Villacari from Cash Cash will be coming along to play drums. Thank you to our TDF family for all your continuing support. See everyone on tour this fall!

A message from Eric Jones:
After three years of being in The Downtown Fiction, I have decided to leave to pursue other opportunities in music. I’m incredibly thankful for all the places I’ve been able to see, the people I’ve met and all of the experiences I was so fortunate to have. I never imagined I would have been able to do something like this and still have to pinch myself now that it’s over (for me, at least).
I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this experience – I’m forever indebted to you. Thank you to my band, our manager Greg, the great people at Photo Finish Records, all of the bands I’ve toured with and the fans who made this all possible. Please continue to support The Downtown Fiction as you always have – I certainly will.

The Downtown Fiction's concert set for Sunday at the Long Island Maritime Festival has been cancelled due to Hurricane Irene. The event is going to be rescheduled, however it is unclear if TDF would play on the rescheduled date.
