"Can you introduce yourself and what you do in the band? My name is Cameron and I sing and play guitar.
For someone that has never heard your music before, how would you best describe it?
It is melodic and catchy, but it also has a lot of alt rock kind of classic rock flavors to it. It’s a little bit of the pop element but it has a lot of rock and indie kind of alt rock infused into it also.
Fast forward to a couple years from now, where would you like to see the band at?
We are just so grateful to have to the opportunity to play music for people and we are so happy that it is connecting with some. I don’t think we have any specific goals in mind. We just hope to continue growing as a band and reaching more and more people and that the music keeps getting better and we keep evolving and are able to prove ourselves as a band worthy of people’s attention.
What is the writing process like for you guys? Is it just you, or is it a full band type of thing?
I usually, as far as up ‘til now, I have just written at home on our time off. But for our full-length that hasn’t been released yet, but that we’ve been working on a lot, I will sit down with David and Eric after I have brought them songs I’ve been working on. David is a really talented producer and we’ll just sit down and demo out the songs. Eric will work on the drums he wants on it and then we’ll bring it to our producer, Stacy Jones. He is the one who did our EP, Best I Never Had, and he’s also doing our full-length. That pretty much has been the process for this album. David and Eric have a song that I think will make the record as well and that will be the first Downtown Fiction song that has other members of the band contributing, as far as writing goes."
